At Urtegata 11, on Saturday, April 5, we are screening the short film program PALESTINE ANIMATED. This program features a diverse selection of works from Palestinian animation filmmakers. The screening is free!

GRANDMOTHER WORE US OUT | Director: Haneen Karaz | 4 min

Haneen Karaz is a Palestinian artist and educator from Gaza. She uses animation as a therapeutic and creative tool for self-expression. GRANDMOTHER WORE US OUT is a short film created in collaboration with 14 girls from Deir al Balah and tells the story of a family that has sought refuge in a classroom at a UNRWA school. The film was made by Layan Barghout, Malek Barghout, Shourouq Al-Naklheh, Batool Obeid, Rafif Obeid, Sujood Obeid, Aya Al Nakhleh, Habiba Barghout, Fatima Abu Hasirah, Rimas Abu Hasirah, Eman Abu Hasirah, Mohammed Abu Hasirah, Sham Karaz, and Misk Barghout.
