Dounia: The Great White North
Dounia is back! This time, she has moved into a little blue house in a small town in Canada, where there’s lots of snow – something completely different from Aleppo in Syria!
Slowly but surely, Dounia and her grandparents, Jeddo and Teta, begin to find their place in their new country. Everything here is new: intense and varied seasons, new food, and several new languages. Her grandparents do their best to keep Syrian traditions alive at home, while Dounia's new friends, Rosalie and Miguizou, share their distinctly different traditions with her.
