Kaouther Ben Hania
Kaouther Ben Hania (b. 1977) studied film in Tunisia and Paris at La Fémis and the Sorbonne. Her film Beauty and the Dogs was Tunisia's candidate for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards and was screened at Arab Film Days in 2018. She also directed The Man Who Sold His Skin, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2020 and was nominated for an Oscar the following year. Her most recent film, Four Daughters, had its premiere in the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
